More about the Pet Lick Bowl

What this bowl is designed for
This is a lick-style bowl: a shallow, textured surface that holds pastes, soft treats, supplements and wet food so an animal works at it instead of finishing the portion in one gulp. It is used both as a feeding accessory and as enrichment — something to keep a cat or dog occupied during grooming, travel or separation. The same shape works for cats and for small to medium dogs, which is why it tends to sell as a two-species item rather than a cat-only SKU.
Material and surface
The body is moulded in food-grade ABS, confirmed at sampling against the specification for the order. The lick surface is kept smooth with rounded internal edges so food releases cleanly and there are no tight corners that trap residue. Wall thickness is held consistent across the run, which matters for two reasons: the bowl does not flex when an animal presses into it, and stacked units sit flat in the carton instead of wedging together.
Formats and add-ons
Round and shaped formats are both produced, and the range can be paired with a play-ball element so one SKU covers feeding and play. Colour is specified per order, and logo placement is confirmed during sampling — printing and labelling are straightforward, while a moulded logo depends on whether tooling already exists for that shape. If you are building a small range, the practical approach is to keep one body shape and vary colour and packaging, which keeps tooling and minimum quantities down.
Sampling and quality control
Because this is a food-contact item, material confirmation happens before anything else: the resin specification is agreed, then a sample is produced and checked for surface finish, edge quality and colour. Bulk production follows the approved sample. Checks run at three points — incoming material, in-process moulding, and a final packed-carton audit for quantity, colour and labelling — so a problem is caught at the stage where it can still be corrected.
Packing and export cartons
Units are packed in poly bags and export cartons, with retail-ready packaging available for buyers selling into shops rather than distributing in bulk. Cartons can be mixed across colours as long as the marking reflects it, and pallet configuration is confirmed before booking. Moisture protection is included for sea freight, which is the usual route for Southeast Asian and Indian destinations.
Buyer questions
- Is the material food-safe? The bowl is produced in food-grade ABS, and the resin specification is confirmed with you at sampling for each order.
- Can the bowl carry our logo? Yes — printed or labelled logos are standard; a moulded logo depends on the tooling for that shape.
- Can we order several colours in one carton? Yes, mixed-colour cartons are possible; the carton marking and packing list reflect the mix.
- How is it cleaned? The surface is washable and easy to clean; care instructions can be printed on the label in the language your market requires.
