What this ball is used for

This is a play ball for fetch, chase and everyday indoor or garden play, sized from small dogs up to larger animals that push a ball around rather than carry it. Because it is inflatable, it can be shipped deflated, which is the main reason it works as a low-freight-cost item in a mixed container: a 55 cm ball takes a fraction of the volume when flat than when pumped up. Buyers typically range it in two or three sizes and let the colour story carry the shelf.

Materials and construction

The shell is Oxford cloth over a PVC bladder. The cloth takes the abrasion that a bare PVC ball would fail on after a few weeks of concrete or paving, and it holds print much better, which matters if the ball is carrying your brand. The bladder is inflated through a recessed valve so the closure does not sit proud of the surface where a dog's mouth would find it. Construction is solid, with no small removable parts — no squeaker capsule, no loose cap — which is the point most importers ask about first when the product is going into a market that screens toys for choking hazards.

Sizes, colours and print

Three sizes are standard: 25 cm, 45 cm and 55 cm. Colour and print are the differentiators here, so the practical approach is to pick one or two sizes and invest in the print rather than spreading a small order across the full range. All-over print, panel print and a simple logo placement are all possible; send artwork and we will confirm what reproduces cleanly on the cloth before tooling any plates.

Sampling, quality control and packing

Sampling confirms shell weight, seam strength, valve position and how the print sits on the curve of the ball. Bulk follows the approved sample. Checks are made on incoming cloth and bladder, on seams and valve seating during production, and on a final inflated spot check plus a packed-carton audit for quantity, size and colour. Units ship deflated, with a hang tag, a poly bag or a boxed set depending on how the ball is being sold at retail.

Buyer questions

• Does it arrive inflated? No — it ships deflated to save freight, and each unit carries an inflation note in the pack.
• Is it safe for aggressive chewers? It is a play ball, not a chew toy; the cloth shell is abrasion-resistant but a determined chewer will eventually open a seam, and we would rather say that than have it returned.
• Can we print a full-colour design? Yes, subject to artwork review; very fine detail and small text do not reproduce well on cloth.
• Can we order a mixed colour carton? Yes, with the mix shown on the packing list.
